Hello, visitors!  Welcome to my website!  I am a third-year PhD student in linguistics at Cornell University.  My interests include syntax and semantics.

Before I came to Cornell, I completed an MPhil program in general linguistics at the University of Oxford, where I received training through the radically different (compared with the lecture/seminar system that I am much more familiar with) tutorial system.  I took modules in phonology, morphology, and historical linguistics.  Prior to Oxford, I was an undergrad at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, and I studied mathematics and economics.

Grad school had not been part of my plan at all until I chanced upon linguistics as a college senior — I’ve since then never looked back! — and I originally started this website in my sophomore year with the intent to build a travel blog; thus, there is quite a lot of non-academic stuff on this site.  For information about my academic experience, please check out my Research, Teaching, and Miscellany pages.
